Crist’s Campaign in Crisis

Looks like Charlie Crist is in the market for a new campaign manager.

Bill Hyers, the Democratic strategist who managed Bill DeBlasio’s mayoral campaign in NYC, was expected to run Charlie Crist’s 2014 campaign for governor.

It was announced yesterday, Hyers has left Crist’s campaign and will be staying in New York City.

In a statement released by Crist, he tries to downplay Hyers’ departure stating; “It’s early. Our campaign structure is still coming together. Bill wanted to stay in New York because it was good for him.”

If this is any forecast of things to come, Crist is better off sitting this race out.
