Congratulations to Governor Rick Scott, who was named political winner of the year by Adam Smith of the Tampa Bay Times.
Originally speculated to have a tough race ahead, Governor Scott has proven otherwise. Governor Scott is heading into his re-election year with more than $22 million in the bank and Florida riding high on the lowest unemployment rate in 5 years. There is no disputing the facts, it’s working.
According to the Republican Governor’s Association, no Republican Governor has lost a general election since 2007. Based on Governor Scott’s track record, he will have no problem keeping this streak alive.
