Financial Woes
Last week, the Palm Beach County Republican Party laid off its full-time staff and dodged questions that the Party was suffering financial setbacks.
After much speculation and press inquiries during the REC meeting last Wednesday, Chairman Ira Sabin, admitted the Party was in financial trouble. This confession opened the floodgates of accusations and a heated argument between Chairman Sabin and former Chairman Sid Dinerstein.
They say, financial struggle is the leading cause to divorce. Could the current financial woes plaguing Palm Beach Republican Party lead to a new chairman? Under the Chairmanship of Sid Dinerstein, the Republican Party maintained a full-time staff, office hours and excelled at voter turnout and fundraising efforts. Since stepping down, and being replaced by Chairman Ira Sabin, the Party has shut its doors, struggled to meet fundraising goals, and alienated Party members.
Sadly, this type of internal dissension is only serving as a distraction from the real issues. We have a Governor that is facing an uphill battle in his reelection efforts. Governor Rick Scott needs all the support he can muster as the MSM has already called his bid for reelection, DOA.
