Why Republicans Need to Vote in 2016
Hillary Clinton’s comments on ISIS during Saturday night’s Democratic debate drew backlash from the RNC and added to the mounting case of why she shouldn’t be elected president and why it is imperative for Republicans to vote next November.
In the last Democratic debate of 2015 Hillary Clinton told Americans, “we now finally are where we need to be. We have a strategy and a commitment to go after ISIS.”
Clinton’s statement on ISIS at the Democratic debate drew backlash from RNC Chairman Reince Prebius:
“Clinton’s assertion that we are ‘where we need to be’ on ISIS in the wake of the San Bernardino and Paris attacks shows a complete disconnect with reality and is completely out-of-touch with the American people.”
While there is no evidence to support the claim that ISIS carried out the San Bernardino attack, most people can agree, Hillary Clinton has spent more time trying to claw her way into the Oval office and as a result she’s lost touch with the American people. Hillary’s judgement has become clouded in matters concerning Americans at home and abroad. At a time when national security is weighing heavily on everyone’s minds, the 2016 election cannot be left to chance, nor is it worth allowing Clinton to play Russian roulette with our foreign policy the way Obama has.
Currently, America is teetering between being a solid world player and a washed up has been on the world’s stage. From Obama’s red line in Syria that he did not uphold to the myriad of follies we’ve witnessed as he’s tarnished relationships with long time allies, America’s brightest days were well before January 21, 2008.
In the past two months, we’ve seen acts of violence committed on American soil as well as abroad. We’ve watched our commander in chief waiver in his resolution to present a strategy to deal with the growing threat of ISIS, and now Americans have a choice between a woman who has been in lockstep with the current administration from day one or a candidate from the Republican party who has a plan that does not involve gambling our nation’s security as a result of being drunk with power.
Let’s be fair though, the upcoming presidential election is not just about Republicans versus Democrats, it’s about issues. The issues dominating the campaign cocktail hour of 2016 are immigration, foreign policy, and ISIS. In under a year, Americans will head to the polls and vote for the candidate they think can get America back on track in terms of being a world leader. Some Americans may not believe America has fallen off course because the economy is up and unemployment is down, in terms of domestic issues, they’re right, but looking at the bigger picture from a national security stance, our nation has lost its way.
The truth is, 2016 is a pivotal election for America. Make a resolution on New Year’s Eve to vote on November 8, 2016.
