Rubio Stumps for Jolly
Senator Marco Rubio is paying it forward.
Four years ago, senate candidate, Marco Rubio enlisted the help of Mitt Romney in a U.S. Senate showdown against Governor Charlie Crist. Now, Senator Rubio has hit the trail to stump for congressional candidate, David Jolly in District 13.
Senator Rubio joined congressional candidate David Jolly in Pinellas county on Monday encouraging voters to cast their ballot for Jolly in the upcoming special election.
Senator Rubio spoke outside the Lake Seminole Square retirement center, “David Jolly is Pinellas County,” said Senator Rubio; “and we need him now more than ever in Congress.” Pointing to the Florida seniors, who are suffering as a result of cancelled healthcare plans and limited access to care due to cuts in Medicare Advantage. Rubio rallied the crowd,”for them, we can’t afford to lose this election.”
Rubio’s endorsement is another name to add to the growing list of high-profile Republicans backing Jolly. The support of high ranking members from the Republican party is adding fuel to Jolly’s campaign, and helping him maintain the momentum to secure a victory in CD-13.
