The RNC Prepares for a Tsunami-Style Victory in 2014
“Para Bellum” is the new battle cry of the GOP, as they prepare for the midterm elections and set their sights on 2016.
One year after a troubling loss to President Obama, and a week after the GOP secured its first victory of 2014, the RNC launched a new ad campaign targeting women, minorities, and millennials. The ad campaign is part of the “Create Your American Dream” initiative.
In an effort to reach frustrated Obama voters, independents, and anyone else who forgot why the GOP is so grand, the video campaign uses testimonials of a diverse group of people to explain why they are Republican. According to the RNC Chairman, Reince Priebus, “The ad campaign will highlight why so many million Americans vote Republican, it’s because we fight to empower people. It’s because we believe in the value of every person. It’s because we know that each American should have the chance to create their own American Dream.”
The ads will appear in 14 states with Senate races targeted by the GOP: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, Virginia and West Virginia. They will also appear in Washington, D.C., and New York.
The RNC is working diligently to revamp their image, and maintain the momentum achieved with the victory of David Jolly in Florida’s Pinellas County while wooing voters who are suffering as a result of failed liberal policies such as Obamacare.
The “I’m a Republican” ad campaign is a step in the right direction for the GOP, and has the potential to create a “tsunami” effect in the midterm elections. RNC Chairman Priebus echoed the sentiments and was quoted as saying, “I think we are in for a tsunami-type election in 2014. My belief is that it is going to be a very big win — especially at the U.S. Senate level, and I think we may even add some seats in the congressional races.”
With a shiny new image and a solid campaign to run on, the Republican party is laying the ground work to take back Washington in November. Armed with a new message, and the fresh taste of winning, the GOP is poised to win big, as long as they turn out voters. The key for Republicans in 2014 will be to energize people to show up and vote Republican on Election day. There are only 230 days left in the 2014 election cycle, and the GOP has wasted no time in getting to work.
